Iran has warned that Israeli strikes in Lebanon are putting the U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding at serious risk, with Tehran saying key ceasefire obligations have not been upheld. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said Clause 1 of the memorandum required an end to hostilities on all fronts, including Lebanon, and argued that while Iran had met its obligations, the other side had failed to ensure its allies stopped firing.
