Tracey Johnson, the owner’s wife, has been hailed as "incredibly heroic" by a former worker for reportedly jumping 15ft into the enclosure to rescue the child. Emergency services, including an air ambulance, attended the scene after reports that the boy had ended up in the enclosure around 1.24pm, with the child suffering a suspected broken arm and pelvis. A 30-year-old man from Norfolk was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder but has since been released on bail until 18 September after being assessed as "not fit for interview" – police confirmed the man and child did not know each other. The zoo has closed its tropical house, which is home to the crocodiles, out of respect for the family, and police enquiries are ongoing to understand the circumstances of the distressing incident.
