Ivory Coast striker Elye Wahi, who is under investigation for alleged betting-related offenses, has not been authorized to travel to Canada for his team’s next World Cup match against Germany, the Ivorian soccer federation said on Thursday.

Wahi, who started Ivory Coast's opening game of the tournament on Sunday, was arrested by anti-corruption specialists on May 29.

Wahi, who was not immediately available to comment, was not named as a suspect.
