Human rights activist, Francis Nwapa, has reacted to the death of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Khan Salihu of the Lagos State Police Command, saying the late officer would be remembered for allegations of repression against protesters and an alleged threat to kill human rights activist Hassan Taiwo Soweto. Salihu, who was in charge of Finance and Administration at the Lagos State Police Command, died on Monday, June 15, 2026. The Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, SP Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed his death in a statement.
