He informed co-stars Charlie Ireland and Kaleb Cooper that the cancer was aggressive but had been caught at a very early stage. Later in the episode, Clarkson was seen in a hospital bed, stating that some of his treatment had “gone awry” and he would be staying for a while. The 66-year-old had previously told fans to expect “sombre news” ahead of the final two episodes.
