The mother of Cape Verde star goalkeeper Vozinha has been granted a visa to enter the United States in time for her 40-year-old son’s next World Cup match.

Vozinha, 40, was named player of the match in Cape Verde's stunning World Cup draw with heavyweights Spain.

Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha made seven saves against Spain in a historic 0-0 World Cup draw, but US visa issues kept his mother from attending the match.
