The budget cuts will result in 550 job losses in BBC News, TV, and radio, alongside 700 corporate role reductions. Six shows on BBC Radio 4, including The World Tonight and the Midnight News, are being cancelled. BBC One will no longer broadcast a Sunday morning edition of BBC Breakfast from September, with the BBC News Channel simulcast instead. The Today programme on Radio 4 will reduce its permanent presenters from five to four, and only one anchor will present on Saturdays.
