A Melbourne court has denied Zeinab Ahmad bail, saying there was no compelling evidence to show she had renounced her extremist views.

Zeinab Ahmad, 31, is facing two counts of crimes against humanity, including enslavement and using a slave, which the court heard was authorised by an ISIS 'slave-rape handbook'.

Zeinab Ahmad wants to be released on bail to reunite with her seven-year-old, who lived with her in a tent in Syria until their return to Australia last month.
