The arrest relates to an incident on 5 May 2017, when CCTV footage showed a jogger pushing a female pedestrian into the path of a double-decker bus on Putney Bridge. The victim, who has never been identified, survived with few injuries due to the bus driver's quick actions, which narrowly avoided a fatal collision. The jogger was described as a white man in his early to mid-30s with short brown hair and a stocky build, who returned to the scene 15 minutes later but ignored the victim's calls to stop.
