He was taken to police custody, where he remains. The arrest relates to an incident on 5 May 2017, where a woman was pushed into the path of a bus on Putney Bridge in Putney. Inquiries continue."‌Shocking CCTV footage from May 2017 showed a man appearing to shove a stranger into the road on Putney Bridge. The 33-year-old woman escaped serious injury after the driver of an oncoming bus swerved into the adjacent lane to avoid hitting her.Article continues belowSgt Mat Knowles said at the time: "It was only due to the superb quick reactions of the bus driver that she was not hit by the vehicle."Around 15 minutes later, the woman spotted the jogger running back across the bridge and attempted to speak to him, but "he did not acknowledge her", police said.The suspect was described as a white man, aged in his 30s, with brown eyes and short brown hair. He was wearing dark blue shorts, trainers and a grey T-shirt. Detectives looked at over 50 people of interest and arrested three men, who were all released without charge.
