The Peru runoff between Keiko Fujimori and Roberto Sanchez is a statistical tie, with a recount of disputed ballots under way and no winner declared.

The gap between Peru's presidential candidates has narrowed to less than 20,000 votes with 96% of ballots counted after Sunday's runoff.

Sánchez leads Peru's runoff count, but the overseas vote that favours Fujimori and 1,500 contested actas can still flip it before the mid-July proclamation.
