A 10-year-old California girl is being hailed as a hero after helping save her family from a house fire that broke out in the early hours of June 10. Elizabeth “Lizzy” Morgan woke up when the power suddenly went out, spotted flames outside her home, and quickly alerted everyone inside. Her actions allowed seven family members to escape before firefighters arrived. Although the family lost their home, pets, and most of their belongings, they credit Lizzy's quick thinking with preventing a far greater tragedy.
