Ahmedabad Metro to link Koteshwar Rd with Sardar Patel Sports Enclave & Airport ahead of CWG 2030

The Cabinet has approved Phase 2(A) of the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project at a cost of over ₹2,169 crore. The new 6-km corridor will connect Koteshwar Road to Ahmedabad Airport through five stations, including one underground station. Rail Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the project will improve connectivity to key infrastructure hubs such as the airport and the Sardar Patel Sports Enclave, home to the Narendra Modi Stadium ahead of the Commonwealth Games 2030.
