Two cargoes of light oil bound for Korea and Japan have been delayed by strike action that an energy industry body warns is a threat to fuel security.

Workers at Inpex's Australian LNG sites vote to double daily strike stoppages to 8 hours from June 11, threatening supply at a facility with 9.3 mtpa capacity.

The gas giant said it launched the legal action as the strikes could cause “significant” disruption to fuel supplies already challenged by the global energy crisis.
