Jun 9, 2026 – 6.11pmGas giant Inpex is seeking orders to stop rolling union strikes at its Ichthys LNG facilities in northern Australia on the grounds that the action threatens to cause damage to a significant part of the economy.The Offshore Alliance – a partnership of the Maritime Union of Australia and Australian Workers Union – on Monday escalated 400 members’ industrial action to daily eight-hour stoppages at Inpex.
