Jun 8, 2026 – 11.26amHundreds of workers have hit gas giant Inpex with rolling daily eight-hour stoppages in a dramatic escalation of an industrial dispute that has already delayed shipments and disrupted processing.About 420 workers at Inpex’s three Ichthys gas facilities in northern Australia voted overnight to extend stoppages from four hours to eight, starting on Monday, as pay talks collapsed, and they accused Inpex of reneging on its offers.
