Trump lamented Iran's "tap-tap-tap" diplomacy after an Apache attack helicopter was shot down while patrolling over the Strait of Hormuz.

President Donald Trump said the attack helicopter was downed by Iran and the aircraft’s pilots were rescued and uninjured.

In a statement posted to social media, U.S. Central Command said the strikes would be “a proportional response to unjustified Iranian aggression.”

Trump has repeatedly said Iran wants to make a deal with him to end the war and that they have agreed to concessions.
