His departure follows loan spells at Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, and Aston Villa, and he has only made one appearance for United – at the 2024 Community Shield – since August 2023. Casemiro, a £63m signing from Real Madrid, has also confirmed his departure after four years, during which he scored 26 goals in 160 games. Left-back Tyrell Malacia, a £12m acquisition, is also leaving on a free transfer, having made only 11 appearances in his last three seasons.
