CID searches Mamata's residence in Kolkata as she meets Sonia Gandhi in Delhi

The CID intensified its investigation into the alleged forged-signature controversy within the TMC by reaching the party headquarters-cum-residence of Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata's Kalighat area. Another team of CID is searching Abhishek Banerjee’s office at Camac street. The probe focuses on allegations that MLA signatures were forged on documents related to the recognition of the Leader of Opposition. The search followed a brief standoff with security personnel.
