Leh old town to get heritage makeover to enhance infrastructure & visitor experience

Ladakh's Lieutenant Governor has greenlit a Rs 7.62 crore project to upgrade and beautify Leh's Old Town. This initiative aims to preserve its heritage architecture while enhancing infrastructure, including underground utilities and heritage pathways. The plan seeks to transform Leh into a clean, organized, and pedestrian-friendly world-class tourist destination, safeguarding its rich cultural heart for the future.
