Ex-Bauchi Accountant-General Arraigned Over Alleged N11billion Loan Scam, Fake Contracts, Forged Documents

A High Court in Bauchi State on Friday arraigned the state's former Accountant-General, Sa’idu Abubakar, on a 16-count charge bordering on alleged diversion of public funds, fraud, forgery, criminal breach of trust, and abuse of office. According to court documents, Abubakar is accused of diverting N3 billion obtained through a loan facility from UBA Bank for the procurement of 5000 motorcycles allegedly found to be non-existent.
