Monstropolis, currently under construction, will be set after the 2001 Pixar film, focusing on "H.U.M.A.N. Day, short for ‘Humans Understand Monsters Are Nice,’ a citywide celebration that brings humans into the monster world for the first time”, according to a Disney news release. The centrepiece of the new land will be a suspended roller coaster, featuring the first-ever vertical lift in a Disney park, designed to immerse guests in the iconic door vault chase scene. Visitors will also be able to explore familiar locations such as Harryhausen's restaurant and the Glob Theater, alongside character meet-and-greets, themed shops, and unique food and drink options. Separately, the Monsters, Inc.
