Gujarat Police have detained 501 Bangladeshi nationals across the state in a swift two-day operation. Codenamed 'Operation Delta Hunt', the crackdown targeted individuals staying illegally in India. The operation, confirmed by Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, involved extensive planning and intelligence gathering. Investigations are underway for those who aided these migrants.

The police said they were checking the persons’ documents and verifying their identities to determine whether they are permitted to be in India.
