Gulf hostilities flared again on Wednesday (June 3) as attacks on Kuwait damaged its airport and injured dozens while the U.S. military carried out strikes near the Strait of Hormuz, with diplomacy to halt the war showing little sign of progress. Flights at Kuwait International Airport were suspended after Kuwaiti authorities said an Iranian drone and missile attack damaged airport facilities and diplomatic missions, killing one person and injuring more than 60 others. Later on Wednesday, Iran's IRGC denied attacking the airport and said the destruction at the airport was caused in error by U.S. Patriot systems after failing to intercept Iranian missiles.

Early Wednesday morning, an Iranian drone and missile attack struck the T1 passenger terminal building at Kuwait International Airport.

Iranian missile attacks on Bahrain, Kuwait and other regional targets were either thwarted or failed, says the US military.
