ALBAWABA - Kuwait Civil Aviation Authority said Wednesday that Iran carried out a drone and missile attack targeting Kuwait Airport.The authority continued that the attack resulted in injuries and serious damage to a number of its facilities.Flights were suspended at the Kuwait International Airport until further notice.Kuwait's Directorate General of Civil Aviation announced Wednesday morning the activation of its emergency plan at Kuwait International Airport after Terminal 1 (T1) was attacked by Iranian drones and missiles.The Directorate also noted that the attack caused extensive damage to airport facilities and confirmed the suspension of flights, which have been diverted to alternative airports until further notice.Iran-US exchange attackThe United States military’s Central Command (CENTCOM) said yesterday that American forces conducted "self-defence" strikes on Iran's Qeshm Island and "defeated multiple" Iranian missiles and drones.Iran also carried out attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain. The military in Kuwait activated air defence systems and intercepted incoming drones and missiles.Additionally, Bahrain’s Interior Ministry said warning sirens were activated.
