A fire ripped through a hotel in New Delhi on Wednesday and killed at least 21 people, many of them foreign nationals, police and local media said.

The blaze — the deadliest the city has seen since 2022 — broke out at a hotel in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar.

Of these 21, nine were Indians while 12 were foreigners from countries such as Bangladesh, Liberia, Nigeria, and Mozambique.
