A man was fatally shot during an alleged confrontation with police following a reported hijacking of a taxi along Camp Road in Kingston on Wednesday evening.The incident occurred about 6:20 p.m.The Gleaner understands that the man had boarded the taxi posing as a passenger.During the journey, the taxi operator reportedly stopped to pick up a woman, but the man allegedly objected and, during the ensuing interaction, revealed a firearm.
