The transfer is understood to be worth €44m (£38m) for the permanent move, in addition to the €6m (£5.2m) loan fee previously paid, which will aid Manchester United's squad rebuild this summer. During his season-long loan, the 23-year-old forward made a significant impact for Napoli, scoring 16 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions and helping them secure the Supercoppa Italiana and a second-place finish in Serie A. Hojlund originally joined Manchester United from Atalanta in 2023 for a reported £72m, where he scored 26 goals in 95 appearances and was part of the squad that lifted the FA Cup in May 2024.
