The transfer is understood to be worth €44m (£38m) for the permanent move, in addition to the €6m (£5.2m) loan fee previously paid, which will aid Manchester United's squad rebuild this summer. During his season-long loan, the 23-year-old forward made a significant impact for Napoli, scoring 16 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions and helping them secure the Supercoppa Italiana and a second-place finish in Serie A. Hojlund originally joined Manchester United from Atalanta in 2023 for a reported £72m, where he scored 26 goals in 95 appearances and was part of the squad that lifted the FA Cup in May 2024. Manchester United confirmed Hojlund's permanent exit on their website, acknowledging his contributions and wishing him all the best for his future career in Italy.
