JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia processed 778 chemical clearance service requests in April, a monthly increase of 29 percent, as industrial permitting activity rebounded alongside efforts to support manufacturing growth and investment. Jarrah bin Mohammed Al-Jarrah, spokesperson of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, said the April processed requests included 703 applications for clearance of unrestricted chemical imports and 75 applications for permits to import restricted chemicals, noting that the requests covered a total of 2,758 items, according to an official statement by the ministry.
