The National Freedom Party’s (NFP) KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) has openly revolted against the party's national leadership while expelled provincial chairperson, Mbali Shinga has filed an interdict to stop her removal. The PEC rejected the National Executive Committee's (NEC) decision to remove Shinga, the party's only Member of the Provincial Legislature (MPL) and MEC of Social Development in KZN, citing a complete lack of consultation and a breach of the party's constitution.
