Civil Society ILEWN Condemns Lack Of Transparency, Accountability In Nigerian Ministries, Agencies

A civil society organisation, the Initiative for Leadership and Economic Watch in Nigeria (ILEWN), has expressed concern over the growing accountability challenges across some Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), warning that weak transparency and expenditure oversight could undermine ongoing economic reforms by the Federal Government. The concerns were disclosed by the Executive Director of ILEWN, Ambassador Splendour Agbonkpolor, during an interaction with journalists ahead of a coalition press conference scheduled for June 4 in Abuja.
