Approved by the US FDA for complicated urinary tract infections, Zaynich combines cefepime and zidebactam, using a novel “beta-lactam enhancer” mechanism that blocks two key steps in bacterial cell-wall synthesis, helping it overcome virtually all known resistance mechanisms.
