A pioneering blood test that can detect more than 50 cancers before symptoms appear could save tens of thousands of lives a year, promising new research suggests.

A major clinical trial involving 142,000 NHS patients revealed that the Galleri blood test for detecting over 50 cancers failed to reduce late-stage cancer diagnoses.
