Hundreds Of Niger Delta Postgraduate Scholarship Beneficiaries Cry Out Over Eight-Month Unpaid Funds, Threaten Mass Protests

Hundreds of beneficiaries of the 2025 Local Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) have raised the alarm over the alleged failure of the commission to disburse the scholarship funds at least eight months after the awards were announced. The affected scholars, who described the delay as “devastating,” said over 450 postgraduate students across the Niger Delta region have yet to receive payments of the scholarship funds despite completing all verification and screening processes required by the commission.
