Emergency services responded after 8.20pm to reports of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian. A 39-year-old Iraqi national was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, serious injury by dangerous driving, and failing to provide a drug sample, and remains in custody. The Metropolitan Police confirmed the incident is not being treated as terrorism and is under investigation by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit. Police have advised the public against sharing widely circulated social media footage of the incident due to its graphic nature and to protect the integrity of the investigation.
