The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, has raised concerns over the worsening Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and neighbouring Uganda, warning that more infections are expected in the coming weeks.

The WHO warns that the Ebola outbreak in DRC is worsening and calls for urgent action from neighbouring countries to contain the deadly virus.

The head of the WHO warned on Monday that a rapidly growing Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda "will get worse before it gets better."
