Tech giants Apple and Google have now urged the Canadian lawmakers to amend bill C-22, on online safety proposals which is presently under debate in the House of Commons, as reported by Reuters. The tech giants are now seeking to include judicial oversight and stronger protections for encryption.

Google and Apple warned that the Liberals' lawful access bill poses a "threat" to encryption.
