A fresh legal battle has erupted between Aichatou El-Rufai, wife of the detained former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), as she threatened to sue the anti-graft agency, demanding N2billion in damages for alleged defamation. In a pre-action notice filed through her legal representatives, Mrs El-Rufai accused the commission of publishing statements that allegedly tarnished her reputation and portrayed her as dishonest before members of the public.
