A teenager has been arrested after a walker was allegedly stabbed from behind at a golf course.

The victim had been walking through Stafford Castle golf course just before 7pm when he was attacked.

Detectives believe the man in his 60s was walking through the Castlefields area when he was approached from behind and seriously injured at a golf course on May 14

The victim was attacked on a public footpath running through Stafford Castle golf course shortly before 7pm on May 14 and remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital.
