WiseTech Global begins cutting 2,000 jobs, nearly 30% of its workforce, as CEO declares the era of manual coding over. Stock surged 11.1% on the news.

WiseTech staff have argued with its CEO on internal messages, about insensitive talk about AI redundancies, and references to AI being removed from Chinese staff emails.

ASX-listed company announced in February it would lay off almost 30% of its 7,000-strong workforce across 40 countries
