Japan's exports jumped 14.8% year-on-year in April, beating forecasts of 9.3% growth. Autos and semiconductor equipment drove demand from the US and Asia.

The figure beat projections of 0.4% from Reuters-polled economists, and against the 0.3% in the last quarter.
