Holy sites’ smart drinking-water system enhances sustainability and comfort

MAKKAH: The concepts of human-centered services and integrated care are reflected at the holy sites through the drinking-water development project, which has introduced a tangible improvement to the pilgrim experience. The project provides more than 2,400 modern water points along pedestrian walkways according to an innovative engineering design. The system ensures the continuous availability of chilled and purified drinking water for pilgrims. The project has been implemented by Kidana Development Co., the executive arm of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites.
