A professor of Political Science and rights activist, Sylvester Odion Akhaine, has expressed concern over the recent Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo, warning that Nigeria must urgently strengthen border surveillance and public health preparedness to prevent another health crisis. Akhaine, in a statement issued on Tuesday, warned that the spread of the deadly virus into neighbouring Uganda posed a serious threat that should not be ignored by Nigerian authorities.
