Files of evidence are expected to be submitted to the CPS by 30 September 2026, with charging decisions anticipated before 14 June 2027, the tenth anniversary of the disaster. The investigation, described as the Met's largest and most complex, has gathered 165 million electronic files and taken 14,400 statements. Potential charges include corporate gross negligence manslaughter, fraud, and health and safety breaches, following the June 2017 blaze that killed 72 people.
