SAN DIEGO: US police said Monday that "the threat has been neutralized" after an active shooter was reported at the Islamic Center of San Diego mosque complex. "The threat at the Islamic center has been neutralized," police said on X. Officer Anthony Carrasco said people reported multiple shots at the Islamic Center of San Diego, about 9 miles (14 km) north of downtown San Diego. It was unclear if the shooter was outside or inside, or had been captured yet.

According to initial reports, multiple emergency units were dispatched after 911 calls reported a possible shooting at the location.
