Driverless cars swarm quiet neighborhood leaving residents fearful

Driverless cars repeatedly looping around a residential street in Atlanta have left residents fearing for their safety. Residents on Battleview Drive in Atlanta said that the Waymo cars have been circling the cul-de-sac both day and night. Some residents deployed traffic street signs to try to keep the cars away, but to no avail. “We’re families, we have small animals and pets, got kids getting on the bus in the morning, and it just doesn’t feel safe to have that traffic,” one resident told WSB-TV. Waymo, which deploys cars in more than 10 US cities, said that the AI-powered cars had experienced a “routing problem”.
