Pakistan has negotiated the passage of vessels laden with Qatari LNG out of the Strait of Hormuz in a diplomatic feat that no other energy buyer has managed so far in the Iran war.

As Qatar's export predicament continues, the message from Doha is that shortages and price spikes are around the corner if Hormuz isn't opened soon.

Pakistan has secured passage for two Qatari LNG tankers through the Strait of Hormuz -- the first such shipments since Iran closed the strait in February.
