China's top diplomat says Strait of Hormuz should be reopened as soon as possible

BEIJING - China maintains that on the basis of sustaining the ceasefire, the Strait of Hormuz should be reopened as soon as possible, and at the same time believes that the fundamental solution to issues concerning the strait lies in the realization of a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire, said China's top diplomat Wang Yi on Friday.
