Gabi, a 4.3 feet robot monk, wore brown robes as it participated in an ordination ceremony at a temple in South Korea. Footage shows the robot bowing to monks presiding over the ceremony at Jogye Temple in Seoul as a rosary necklace was placed around its neck on Wednesday (6 May). "Robot monk, please reply with palms together, 'Yes, I will devote myself’,” said one monk. “Yes, I will devote myself,” replied Gabi. The ritual came ahead of Buddha’s birthday celebrations on 24 May.
